Chase is the new Max

This is one of those instances that I kind of wish I didn't have all of Sophie Oak's books at 5 stars. Because this one goes above and beyond for me. I have loved Max Harper for so long. Chase is the first hero that gave me that "OMG I LOVE YOU!" fangirl squeal since Three to Ride. We have a lot of references to other books in the Sophie Oak world here, so you have to have read the other stories to keep up. There is a complete tale here, but it means so much more knowing the backstory.

There were some pretty dark topics in this book. Our pink haired heroine, Natalie, is straddling the line of timid recovering abuse victim, and the bratty strong submissive that she had just begun to be before she was kidnapped. Her former self is kicking and screaming to be let out of Nat's monotonous confines that she had adopted to cope.

We also get to meet Julian's twin sexy, rich PI's. Ben and Chase. *sigh* Oh...Chase. I love Chase. I want to have Chase's literary babies. Chase has no brain-to-mouth filter. He says what he thinks, and only the taming influence of Ben keeps him from being a total social leper. He has that damaged bad boy but great man vibe that keeps women like me panting. Much like the twin mind-meld between Max and Rye, we get a similar mind-reading, two halves of a whole, set of twins in Ben and Chase. Ben is the charm and Chase is the passion. Adding in their pink-haired "Cotton Candy" makes the menage complete.

This book wasn't as heavy on the BDSM, mainly because Nat was recovering from an abusive "Dom". We did get some toys and some play, but it was a journey rather than a book all about playtime.

We get new characters, touch on old ones, a new baby, a chain of kidnappings, murder, mayhem, all the usual that we come to expect and love in the Sophie Oak world. I don't know how all this murder mystery leaves me with a case of the warm fuzzies but it does when Ms. Oak writes it. I got a book that I couldn't put down, a hero that I ADORE, a menage of yum, and the great happy ending with the promise of more to come. Keep writing Sophie Oak. I can't wait to read the next one. 5 stars all the way.

Siren Unleashed is Sophie's latest installment of the Texas Siren series! You will fall in love with Dawson brothers. Sophie NEVER disappoints with this series or her Bliss series! You have got to check it out! Happy Reading!

Wonderful book for this series. This woman truly was a strong submissive and she was able to show it in all of her actions. I loved the hint of a story starting with Logan and Georgia and also Kitten and Cole. I adored the Dawson brothers ans look forward to the next book in the series
